A moderately hardy shrub that will tolerate mild frosts and extended dry periods.  It prefers well drained soil. Creamy white flowers in late summer. The flowers are excellent for drying. The felty silver leaves are perfect for using when grey foliage is required and suits Mediterranean style gardens and coastal areas.  Makes an excellent low hedge or silver foliage addition to a knot garden, or it can be grown in pots.

Behaves as a climber when given support.
Leaves emit a mild licorice scent when crushed.

Prune at any time of the year to keep tidy and compact. It responds well to regular light pruning.  Regular applications of Seasol and Powerfeed will maintain its health and vigour.
