Loropetalum Chinense (chinese fringe flower)

Loropetalums are a naturally shapely bush which don't require pruning to maintain shape. They can take some shade, are hardy, and may require a light trim occasionally. It can even be informally hedged or mass planted in large park type areas. Long, narrow, very green tinged with red foliage is the perfect backdrop for the pink, fringe-like flowers. A superb foundation or accent plant or hedge. At home in Asian and tropical gardens.
